Panic Assistance League - PAL
Who? What? Where? When? How?

Who?

Coast Counseling Center has always been the primary hub of the Panic Assistance League. In October of 1985 Janice Held ran the first group as an intern in Manhattan Beach. Since that time nearly all of the counselors at Coast have led a group for PAL. Our current staff is: Janice Held, Malia Doss, and Hope Greenberg.

What?

PAL is a selection of support groups that have every intention to educate and support as many people as possible. Over the past two and a half decades we’ve published newsletters, taken “Panic on Parade” trips to Arizona, had a “Picnic in the Park, adventured to Catalina with “Panic on the Pacific.” Our organization changes with the times and we are constantly reinventing ourselves to meet your needs. We focus on education, recovery and courage.

Where?

Our groups are currently in Redondo Beach. All of the group leaders are also available to speak to any of your favorite organizations. In the near future Janice Held will be featuring an online live support meeting for everyone who is trapped in their home due to profound fear or depression.

When?

We’re always available – call or write to any of your counselors and we’ll provide as much guidance as possible.

How?

We approach anxiety treatment on the Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual levels. Meetings are a combination of interactive lectures, exercises, guided meditations/visualizations, learning and practicing new skills, sharing, and fellowship.
